Antique Cigar Lighter Elred Wireless #12 UNUSUAL

TODAY’S ITEM FOR AUCTION IS:   Antique Cigar Lighter – Elred Wireless #12.  This very unusual piece (8x10 base and 16” tall) was made by the Elred Mfg. in Chicago.  The wood box is in very good condition (one chip in the wood near top front)  but I think it needs some work to make it usable (see interior picture).  No information on this company could be found but there is an internet company (BC Specialties) who sells replicas for $475 - $525.  This is their information:   As an exact replica of the Eldred Wireless #12, this individually handcrafted antique-style tabletop lighter is the perfect addition for any smoke-friendly environment. Not only is it a useful cigar accessory, but also adds to a room's decor and is an interesting conversation piece. Originally appearing between 1910 and 1920, the lighters were familiar sights in hotel lobbies, taverns, drugstores, and tobacco shops. To use, simply pull the arm forward. This will produce a spark which will ignite the flame. 

We offered all our items with no reserve, and most at a low opening bid.  We provide multiple photos of each item; please look carefully at them and email us with questions.  No returns of items unless grossly misrepresented (reproduction, undetected restoration etc).  If an issue is clearly visible in the photos, it is not misrepresented.  We seldom receive returns, and love satisfied repeat customers!  

SHIPPING:  Buyer pays $30.00 for shipping and handling which includes only minimum insurance ($50).  If you would like more insurance, please add $1.00 for each additional $100 value of insurance.  We will only insure for the amount you pay, so please keep this in mind when paying for your item.  After the sale closes, we are not be able to re-invoice through ebay for more insurance, be we can send a bill through paypal. For high value items, registered mail rates available upon request.

International airmail shipment is available with no insurance. 

WI buyers pay 5% retail sales tax. 

We will combine shipping wherever we can – postage fees will be $1-2 over actual cost – and any overpayment with be refunded.  We ship via USPS or UPS ground depending which is more cost effective.  Requests for only USPS may require more funds for the dimension weight.
