 Description Shipping and payments
This is a very unique and beautiful early compact. It features a single hand painted snowdrop flower with leaves on the top done in enamel paint. There are rings of pale yellow enamel around the rim, and the underside has the same yellow enamel over the entire surface. The center, the edges and piano style hinge have the brass showing for contrast. The top was coated with laquer to protect the painting. The piece is in very nice condition and free from any structural damage. There are some wear lines and age spots, but these are not a detraction to this beautiful little compact. The mirror is unblemished, and hinge and closure are in perfect working order. It measures 2 1/2 inches across. This is probably one-of-a-kind and an asset to any collection.
