ITEM DESCRIPTION
Up for your consideration is a fine antique hanging kerosene/oil lamp, circa 1880. The lamp is made by "Success," and features a cranberry glass shade with brass features in the Art Nouveau style throughout. The shade features a "coinspot" design, is about 13" in diameter, and is free of any chips, cracks, or restorations. Overall, the lamp is 31" from the top of the piece to the bottom when hung.
All the brass parts are in excellent condition, and complete. Also, there are no prisms missing. However, there is one original part missing, there is a cap that rested about 6" above the flame, and could be lowered to shut the lamp off. I will include a cap if you would like, but these are typically removed as they no longer serve a useful function. The lamp has been professionally electrified, and is in good working order.
Please note that this lamp must be disassembled for delivery, and will require some minimal effort to put it back together again. I will send some instructions to assist you, and if there are still difficulties, I can call you directly.

ABOUT US (or my personal policies based on neccessity)
Currently, our gallery is in transition. Personally, I am responsible for all activities. This includes packing, shipping, item descriptions, and communications. My responsibilities also include all initial purchases (either at auction, estate purchases, etc.), and restorations and cleaning.
For this reason, I graciously ask for extra time for shipments. Usually, items are shipped within 5 business days, but sometimes take up to 10 days. I monitor my eBay account on a daily basis, and will gladly provide my cell phone number if requested. As my feedback shows, I am an honest & reliable broker. I package & describe my items much better that most.
Usually, I can accomodate a special request, but ask for some sympathy & understanding based on eBay's new hyper-critical rating system, and ever-changing rules. Please understand that customer satisfaction is my highest priority.
Also, please note that I lose money on shipping overall. I do my best to offer a fair estimate. Sometimes it is a bit higher than actual costs, but often I lose $30 - $40 on certain items that are just a bit to heavy, or an odd size. If for some reason that shipping costs are substantially less than what is paid for, I will refund the balance. However, please understand the cost of materials, as I only use quality & new materials. I never charge for my labor.
