This antique crocheted misers' bag is a glimpse into our history.  To me, it says, Ok, I don't have a lot of fancy beads, but I can crochet and this is all I can afford.  I'll crochet a fancy pattern on each side, add some dangles out of string and then I'll add the 2 different rings to close each side because that is all I have.  Later on, someone put it away to save because it might have belonged to Grandma or Aunt Edith.  Then the moths had a few meals...and here we are today.  The color in my photos is not true as this is really a forrest green bag.  The holes, as shown in my photos are only in the center opening.  One of the rings has had a green material glued to it and the other is fancier and different. Please look at all the photos....they tell the story.
