Antique EDWARD MILLER Table LAMP Light SLAG Glass c. 1917

We are pleased to offer this antique Table Lamp for your consideration. It was manufactured by E M & Company (Edward Miller) and dates to approximately 1917. If features a fabulous eight (8) panel Slag Glass Shade with ornate Art Nouveau styling. The Base is quite heavy and appears to be Iron or Steel. It has a geometric design on the outside with a abstract Floral design on the inside separated by a Beaded Ring. A beautiful piece even when turned off, the Lamp is just gorgeous when light illuminates the octagonal Shade!

The Lamp is about 26 inches high with a maximum width of 17-1/2 inches (at the shade). The Base is about 9-3/4 inches in diameter. The Lamp and Shade weigh 22 pounds. There are only a few markings on the piece. Inside the base, we find raised letters that read E M & CO. Opposite the letters are the numbers 1127 which we believe is a model number. On the inside surface of the cover which goes over the bottom are the numbers 794.

The Lamp is in working condition. We note that the Cord has been replaced, but the original wiring up the base to the Light Sockets is original - you may want to replace the old wire with safer material. Other than the Cord and Finial, the other Lamp components appear to be original to this piece. The metal pieces show a patina consistent with their age, and there are some dusty areas on the Shade that could use a gentle cleaning. We rate the overall condition as very good (see pictures above).

This is a superb example of an antique Table Lamp. It would make a special Holiday Gift for any antique enthusiast in your life, or would be a wonderful addition to any collection or décor!
