Welcome to Robins in the Trundle Bed, brimming with antiques, whimsies, and fripperies that we have gathered in treasure hunts over the New England countryside.  We are pleased to offer this lovely Edwardian era souvenir piece in a frame.  We can imagine that the beautiful woman pictured in the round center of the frame made this memory piece from calling cards and letterheads during her college years.  This souvenir piece is one of a kind and is oh-so-charming!  The 7 ¾” x 9 ¾” (mat and frame) piece features clippings pasted on a mat from: the Boston Yacht Club; the Waldorf Astoria in New York; 523 Beacon Street; Lasell Seminary, Auburndale, Mass; The Berkeley, Boston; The Booklover’s Library, Philadelphia; S.S. Brooklyn City; Cornell University; Kappa Gamma Chi;  Ithaca NY, Harvard,  and The Hasty Pudding Club.  The frame is painted gold and has two brass circles and a piece of string on the back for hanging.

Condition:

The piece is in very good condition.  The frame has some chipping to the paint and the bottom left corner of the piece has a piece of wood missing so the corners don’t meet. The back of the piece appears to have had a black paper backing that was removed by a previous owner.  The cardboard mat has a thin piece of paper glued to the mat that shows signs of the former black backing and shows wear and age.  The mat and the souvenir pieces themselves are in excellent condition.

We ship what we feel is the best and fastest method, via USPS Priority Mail. We will not ship Parcel Post as it is an unreliable service.  We do not charge a handling fee, but will pack your item with great attention and care. Please use the shipping calculator to figure shipping charges.  We let you know shipping costs up front.  Please do not bid if you are not happy with the USPS Priority Mail rate. We are happy to combine shipping if you win multiple items and will contact you after the auction has ended with combined shipping costs.  We strongly suggest that you purchase insurance. Please wait for an invoice before paying, since insurance is based on the final value of the item.

We will ship internationally.  If you are the winning bidder and not a US resident, please e-mail us for shipping costs at the close of the auction.   International auction winners, please do not pay until you receive exact shipping costs from us (not the first email from Ebay as the calculator will not figure exact international shipping.). International buyers, please know that we ship the best and quickest way possible and when possible we will offer you two shipping options. Please be aware of possible delays at customs or of any duties, tariffs or taxes levied upon any international sale.  We suggest that you check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. Thank you for your understanding!
