Fabulous Diamond Cut Edges~Multi layer~Tramp Art style

Just arrived from England,  a really lovely antique pine carved frame AND the original print!

Of course I primarily sell English furniture, but I will occasionally select other special items that catch my eye, and I couldn’t resist this beautiful piece.

The wood-working is fantastic; diamond cut edges in alternating geometric patterns with three separate layers, open corners and big raised buttons on each corner.  Looking at the grain, I believe it is pine rather than oak.

The print is quite lovely as well…the primary focus, a classic Bible verse, John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life”. 

It has a glossy texture with the elegant font letters in brown and the beautiful roses, lily, fern and foliage in shade of red, green, brown and beige. 

Obviously the print is original to the frame and has never been removed, as the original wood back is still held in place by the original nails, which are quite rusty now!

Measurements:

26”H x 22 ½” x 2”;

Glass, 17 ¾” x 14”;

Print, appx. 15” x 11”.

As mentioned, all of my antiques are hand selected from premier European shippers.  I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality.

Condition:

The frame and print are in VERY GOOD CONDITION for their age, with LESS THAN NORMAL signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections.  The color in the print is wonderful, no water spots or other damage.  It has a few waves in it, due to the years since it was framed, but it is definitely original and have not been removed!  The glass has no cracks or damage.  PLEASE EMAIL ME with questions prior to bidding.   I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as part of the description….Please keep in mind antiques should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character….NOT for like-new condition!!!
