This textile is a wonderful, Antique English Arts and Crafts curtain panel fabric dating c 1880-1900~
I feel very lucky indeed to have discovered this amazing textile. This panel hung in the house of a very large, and old estate in England. It is a truly glorious find and is a large curtains panel. (I have many more of the panels if you are interested, please email me) The fabric is a medium to heavy weight 100% cotton with lovely cretonne weave ( thin warp and thick weft). The design is a STUNNING Arts and Crafts design ! The ground is a faded charcoal black and the other colors include olive green (wonderfully faded) very pale and faded silver blue, dusty burgundy and cream. This textile is extraordinary in design. It is made from hand stitching 3 long panels of the wonderful fabric. This panel is unlined~ I have shown the panel with the trim on the right side, but the panel in this buy it now has the trim running along the LEFT side of the curtain. Exactly the same , just trim on the opposite side~*~ The original trim still runs along the LEFT side edge of this panel and is made from wool. This is a very high quality textile ~ extraordinary design. This textile is all hand stitched with both ends hemmed~~ This panel could be hung beautifully as a curtain ~ or plenty of fabric in amazing condition for so many projects~ ( even a bedcover! ) ! ( panel TWO)
This piece measures 95 inches wide ( 7.9 feet wide) by 108 inches long (9 feet long) ! This piece is in original as found condition. ( important to some collectors!) This panel is in wonderful condition! Gently and beautifully faded with time! This panel has one small L shaped tear ( about 1 inch) near the middle. Very easily hand stitched closed.. and appears to have been laundered in the last 10 years or so! ~ it is simply beautiful. There are some areas of damage along the trim, but otherwise, amazingly wonderful condition

Please email me if condition is vital to your purchase and we can discuss condition in detail. When describing my textiles, I use my best judgment, knowledge and experience to estimate their age. I have had many years of research and hands on experience with these wonderful textiles. I describe items as Antique if I estimate the age to be 100 years of age or greater. EBay currently define an antique as dating to 1930 or earlier. I describe items as Vintage, as per the dictionary definition, if I feel the textile has age, or is outdated or old-fashioned, dating from the past. If I use both Antique/Vintage when describing a textile, it is because I feel the textile is most likely 100 years of age or greater, but may fall just short of that date. I often work in collaboration with other colleagues and textile specialists to ascertain the approximate age of my textiles, however ultimately any statement of age is a matter of best judgment only~*~I also use my best professional judgment to ascertain the fiber content of my textiles, using sight and feel and where possible historical information and context to help me to identify plants used in a particular era. However, because my textiles are old, any statement of fiber content is again always only my best professional assessment. ~*~ I feel privileged and honored to bring these textiles to you, I sincerely thank you for your interest ~*~
