Direct from England, another lovely and distinctive antique wall shelf to add classic OLD WORLD CHARM to your home!

This lovely shelf has a gorgeous pressed carved “deer in the forest” scene on the center panel, the only one of its kind that I’ve found.

The shelf also has SEVEN character hooks below and a large upper shelf with TWO plate grooves!!

A BIT OF HISTORY~~In England, Belgium and across Europe, these shelves were originally used as a “kitchen shelf” with copper pots and pans being hung from the hooks.  In today’s home or office, decorators are using these statement pieces in ANY room, with collectibles or home décor on the top shelf, perhaps towel storage in a guest bathroom, as a foyer or hall piece with coats and canes hung on the hooks….ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!

11 ½”H x 39” x 8”.

Condition:

The shelf is in good condition for its age with normal signs of age and use, which includes dings, scratches and other imperfections.  The seven front character hooks are all intact; note the wall hangers for the shelf itself, one is bent and the other missing….buyer would need to add back hanger before hanging on the wall.  I just didn’t have time to go to the discount store and buy one!!
