Even the sides look great! The moulding is quite elegant. This rosewood banding forms a lovely contrast with the mahogany.
Each shelf is fully adjustable by means of the alligator bracket system shown here. Even the shelves show a rich complexion and grain. Shown here is the grain on the side of the bookcase.
Note the impressive thickness of this shelf. The plinth base is strong and steady. The back, like the rest of this bookcase, is quite sturdy.
     Recently handmade as an antique reproduction, this bow front bookcase exhibits the finest quality of structure and beauty. Beginning with the mahogany, which was treated to an elaborate finishing process to produce a rich complexion and grain, the appearance of this bookcase is unequivocally stunning. Of course, the bow front design itself is quite elegant, not to mention the moulding at the top of the bookcase, while rosewood banding runs along the face. The shelves are thick and strong, able to support great weight, while the plinth base is durable and firm. All six shelves are fully adjustable by means of a traditional alligator bracket system, which was popularized during the Georgian and Victorian periods. The perfect combination of beauty, reliable quality and durability, this mahogany bookcase would make a fine addition to any home or office!
