listing is for another fabulous antique English beveled mirror, in a VERY LARGE SOLID MAHOGANY OVAL FRAME with
an elegant finish that will enhance both formal and casual decors.
In this region of the South,
dealers often call the finish on this solid mahogany frame as a “chalk” frame,
but many will recognize it as a smooth gesso base that provides the surface for
the outstanding carved BARBOLA STYLE floral design around the exterior frame
edge and the BEADED trim on the interior frame.
The finish is a rich,
dark traditional mahogany finish…please excuse the photos….it was difficult getting
good photos and the mirror is much BETTER than shown in the photos!!!

The large, solid wood frame
is VERY HEAVY . Note the mirror is the original antique mirror and the frame has it's original wood back!!!

in good condition for their age, with LESS THAN normal signs of age and use,
dings, scratches and other imperfections.
THE DELICATE NATURE OF
THIS STYLE FRAME’S FINISH MAKES THIS PARTICULAR ONE BETTER THAN MOST…..these
typically do not make it through the years without substantial damage and loss
of the finish on the frame!!!!
The mirror has good
reflective quality, no cracks or chips. Buyer’s please note that mirrors
70+ years of age will ALL typically have at least some spotting, scratching and
imperfections.The mirrors that I sell
are antique/vintage mirrors that I would feel comfortable hanging with my other
antiques in my own home or office. I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as
