occasionally find these boxes and purchase them as decorator accents and ‘collector’
boxes, but this is the first one I’ve ever found with all the original owner’s
contents!!

UNION CARDS for a Mr. Curry….for 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944.
Paperwork for “A. Reyrolle & Company”, a very large and well known
British engineering firm in Tyneside (located in north east England).
Interesting World War II items, including “Instructions to Employees
for Evacuation of the Works During Air Raids”.
Some pencil calculations and lots of tools that I cannot identify.
A trademark circular “Engineering Chart” dial with very clear numbers,
stack of relay labels, copper springs…whatever has been in the box for 65
years!

The oak
cabinet is in good condition for its age, sturdy and strong with normal signs
of age and use, dings, scratches and other imperfections. Age appropriate
wear on the cabinet and the tools have some oxidation/rust as to be expected.I always provide multiple photos that should
be considered as part of the description and I encourage you to email me with
any questions you might have prior to bidding. Please keep in mind
antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality
material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character….NOT for
like-new condition!!!
