Antique English Oak Barley Twist Stool Footstool

 

Direct from England, a versatile English oak barley twist stool, with double-strung top and box stretcher for stability!

 

Measurements:

11 ½”H x 11 ¾” x 11 ¾”.

 

All of my antiques are hand selected from premier European shippers.  I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality.

 

Condition:

This stool has many years of use, with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections.  The solid oak has a dark finish with some color fading….if you prefer a more polished finish, a good coat of wax would greatly enhance the wood!  The double strung seat is sturdy, but not for a grown adult to sit upon…it is a FOOTSTOOL!!  There is some damage that has been repaired to some of the strings, please see photos.   I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to bidding. Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character.
