LARGE SIZE~SOLID OAK~CENTER STORAGE BOX~

 

Just in on our most recent container from England, another wonderful antique English oak umbrella or “stick” stand.  These pieces are fabulous in today’s home and excellent for umbrellas…..walking canes…..GOLF CLUBS…..FISHING POLES……POOL CUES…..uniquely endless possibilities!

 

~Note the LARGE SIZE of this stand, much larger than most~

~Classic English Style with BARLEY TWIST LEGS~

~Large ACORN FINIALS on the front posts~

~Mission style pointed back posts with geometric cut out design~
~CENTER Storage box….Originally this was called a “glove box” for guests gloves to be left alongside their umbrellas~

~SUPERB CRAFTSMANSHIP, SOLID OAK CONSTRUCTION~

 

~METAL DRIP PAN or LINER…quite unusual as they are usually discarded over the years!  This one has layers of paint and oxidation, but its here~

 

Measurements:

LARGE SIZE , 31” x 27 ½” x 10”.

Condition:

The stand is in good condition for its age, sturdy and strong, with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches, and other imperfections.  See above description.  I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as part of the description and I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to bidding.
