Direct from England, this listing is for another wonderful antique carved oak hanging wall shelf.  I have a source in the UK that specializes in these shelves and searches throughout England, Belgium and France to find them!!!

 

This particular shelf immediately catches your eye with a pretty carved center panel and carved sides, in a “gingerbread” style design…..I can just imagine a carved gingerbread clock displayed on this shelf!!

 

The shelf also features deeply scalloped sides and lower edge with five angel or “cherub” hooks completing the classic look……..and it’s all presented in a lovely mid-tone oak grain, WITH SOLID OAK CONSTRUCTION!!

 The top shelf has a beveled edge and deep plate groove for displaying your favorite plates or frames!!

 

MEASUREMENTS:

11”H x 33” x 7 ½”.

 

As mentioned, for those interested in comparing styles, I do have several other European wall racks listed and in my eBay store.   They are extremely versatile and suitable for almost every room of the house (I have one in the utility room, one in the game room); originally used as a “kitchen shelf”, they are also great for collections of any kind or as an accent piece in an office.

The shelf is in good condition for its age, with normal signs of age and use, dings and scratches.  IT IS SOLID OAK, sturdy and strong!!   I only offer carefully selected quality pieces, and always provide multiple photos and written information.
