This pre-printed burlap backing is in remarkably good shape. Still, it is being sold for its interest as a rare surviving pre-printed backing from Ebenezer Ross and Co, not as a craft item to be completed. The backing is probably from between sometime in the 1880s - early 1900s. It is from a series of numbered patterns, many of which were derived from earlier patterns by the E. S. Frost Co of Maine. The pattern is a small square with border and center floral motif in red and green.

It is in VERY GOOD CONDITION with no holes or tears; fabric is still supple, not dried or brittle. The inks have bled onto parts of the burlap, but the design is still clear; inks are still bright. This item will ship with signature confirmation on the package. We were lucky enough to come across another backing that we have added to our own collection.
