The Cover is crumbling and the snap is missing. I believe this Bible was printed in 1918, couldn't find a date. Gilt edged pages. Old and New Testaments. James Pott and Co. New York

PRESENTED TO ARTHUR B. VERNON ON THE 8TH OF JULY IN 1918.  ARTHUR HAS WRITTEN A NOTE TO HIS FAMILY, RETURNING THE BIBLE TO THEM ON 15TH OF SEPTEMBER, 1918, STATING THAT THERE WAS NO ROOM IN HIS BELONGINGS AS HE WAS LEAVING FOR THE DEEP SEA. THERE IS ALSO A SAVED NEWSPAPER CLIPPING SHOWING ARTHUR'S WIN FOR HIS BASEBALL TEAM.  THEN THERE IS A PICTURE OF HIS MOTHER IN THE FRONT OF THE BIBLE. THE VERY BACK OF THE BIBLE IS A STICKER THAT READS, "LOOSE WILES COMPANY". THE STICKER HAS A SHIELD AND A DRAGON LOOKING CREATURE ON IT. I LOOKED UP LOOSE WILES COMPANY AND IT WAS A BAKERY IN 1910 AND LATER. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS THE SAME AS THE STICKER OR NOT. THE EMBLEM DIDN'T MATCH UP TO THE EMBLEM I FOUND ON THE INTERNET.
