This is an antique late victorian chest of drawres / vanity that was hand selected from an estate sale in Oxford, UK. It is part of a 3 piece bedroom suite including a marble top washstand and a armorie. There is a single mirror atop 3 large deep bottom drawer making for ample storage. The simple heart shaped carving on all 3 pieces adds to the romance of this set. The hardware is all original brass. This piece was obviously taken care of. The back has original panells that add to its character. Bring a simple air of elegance to your bedroom with this family heirloom.

Hi, I am Shirley Mawyer, the owner of The Odd Chest. My shop sells English antique furniture, which comes directly from estates in the United Kingdom. I am the mother of four grown children, grandmother of seven, and a former high school math teacher. I grew up in a small town in Virginia where my father owned and managed a local hardware, feed and seed, and farm machinery store. I always wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps running a business, but never quite fell in love with feed, seed and farm machinery. But after my father sold his business, he gave me the opportunity to start a business of my own.Although I had longed to have a shop in our quaint little town for years, The Odd Chest came into being several years ago at a church meeting. The head of a drug and alcohol ministry, Betel of Birmingham, England, asked our group if someone would be willing to buy antique furniture from them and sell it in the states.
