Wichita Band Instrument Company 2525 East Douglas Avenue Wichita, KS 67211 Tel: (316) 684-0291 FAX (316) 684-6858 Email wbic@wichitaband.com Service to musicians since 1953! ANTIQUE GERMAN TROMBONE – PARTS DECORATION OR RESTORATION. For auction is an antique German Trombone. It is complete with bell and handslide. It DOES NOT include a mouthpiece or a case. This Trombone is made of brass with nickel silver accents. The bell has a large garland or kranz on the bell flare, nice nickel silver ferrules and a beautiful snake ornament on the crook of the bell. There is a crack 2cm long on the tubing near the hand slide receiver. The bell garland is cracked in many places along the rim. Please see the photos. The bell flare measures 9" across. The hand slide has a dual bore, typical of German Trombones. The smaller leg of the dual bore slide is roughly 13.5mm or 0.531". The larger leg measures at 15mm or 0.590". The outer slides are brass and the inner slide legs are brass with nickel stockings. The cork barrels are spring loaded and the hand slide grip is not soldered, which is also typical of German Trombones from this era. The hand slide has a remote water key, which allows the player to empty the water key using a button mounted on the hand slide grip. This feature works perfectly. Unfortunately there are a few bends and dings in the slide leg with the remote water key, but these can be repaired. The hand slide also features a beautiful snake at the crook. Please see the photos. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING – For international bidders, please provide your FULL NAME AND ADDRESS and we will provide with an accurate shipping quote. The customer is responsible for shipping and insurance and must pre-pay back to us any freight charges on returned equipment. International shipping is available. Returned items will be refunded within 3 weeks of receiving the item. We’re happy to send any instrument “on approval” for five days, but ask the prospective buyer to pay shipping both ways and to please reimburse us for Ebay and clean-up charges (2.95%) on any returned item.
