Vintage glass candy or mint dish!

 

The dish is made from molded glass, over-laid with possibly bronze or old Tyme gold leaf. You can tell it was done in sheets, because there are lines in the overlay. The edges of the dish are slightly scalloped. It really is a very elegant piece.

 

It looks like the red flowers were done first!

 

When you look at the dish from the inside out you see tints of green throughout the sparkling gold color.

 

On the outside of the dish there are the beginnings of patina.

 

There are no cracks, chips or breaks in the glass, but there are a few places where the overlay has come off.

 

This would make a great addition to any collection or a beautiful decoration on any table!
