SPALDING/SAMMY/GOLD MEDAL/DYSART FIFE/ANVIL CLEEK MARK
Dysart Fife is near St. Andrews Scotland. Spalding began making clubs there in 1905 or 06. Started using "Gold Medal" in 1905 (stopping in 1919).
The "SAMMY" iron produced in Scotland has an unusual beveled weighted back with crosshatched face bordered with lines around handpunched dots.
Shaft appears straight and original along with the period grip and whipping. Normal wear on head with no dents or abuse--a little pitting.
An unusual wood shaft jigger type approach club made in Scotland for a famous American maker with a name (the SAMMY).
