Just Stunning!!!! A solid Oak Door and matching screen door beautiful hand crafted work removed from a convent in Pittsburgh, Pa in the early 40's. I have never installed it as I have a brick home and did not want to remove bricks in order for it to fit. The door measures 82-1/2" in height and the width measures 41-7/8" while the depth measures 1-13/16". The three windows the one in the middle is actually a mirror on the outside and clear glass on the inside you can see guest they can't see you it measures 9-7/8" width x 23-7/8"l. It could use a new resilvering as it is a little foggy. The other two windows one on the right and one on the left measure 8"w x 18" l and inside the window it looks like a honeycomb type of glass. The brass mail slot measures 13-1/4" l x 3-3/4" wide it works. They look like at one time they were stained a light color but I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the bottom a little and it came right off. I have refinished many a piece of wood this would be an easy sanding no heavy shellac or varnishes on it. The hindges are all intact and can be left the doorknobs need replaced as I do not have the key and they are not in good condition, just worn. The screendoor measures the smae as the door the part where the original screen is measures 43"l x 32" wide and the depth is 1-3/8" thick. If you have any more questions please email me. I would love to see pictures of this door in all it's glory when it is installed. Happy bidding!!
