This very unusual indian blanket was found at an old estate. It is 72” by 50” and is for sure a quality antique weaving. The blanket is made out of a very unusual and long animal hair. The estate lady told me it was from Peru and made by the Peruvian Indians from llama hair. I have never seen anything else quite like it. It has a very-very soft feel to it, genuine real animal hair with an Indian design in the center. There is one very small damaged spot which I have pictured.
The edging material which covers the ends of the blanket also show some moth holes and wear from age as can be seen clearly in my pictures but I believe that this just ads character. The blanket itself is in very good condition overall. The last 4 pictures were taken without any direct sunlight which does help show more it's true color. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
