W.S.George Teapot, Creamer, & Sugar
Argosy Ivory
Poppy pattern
This folks is an unbelievably cute set up with this handsome teapot, creamer and sugar. All five pieces came from an old family estate here in NH and so offered to you as I recieved. The lidded teapot and lidded sugar bowl have the W.S.George stamp on them and the creamer has some gold numerals on the base. The teapot is beautiful and displays gorgeously. The teapot is about 6" tall to top of lidded cover. From spout to handle is 8 1/4". The base diameter is 4" in diameter and then quickly turns into the widest portion of pot at about 5 1/4" in diameter. The teapot has two small tight hairlines near the top though has no signs of any chips or other noticable effects. The hairlines don't even show when on display. The creamer is cute and has 1 minor chip on spout. The creamer is nearly 3 1/2" tall, spout to handle 5 1/4", the base is 2 1/2" diameter and quickly turns into the widest of 3 3/4". The rest of the creamer is in excellent condition and the chip doesn't pose any significant damage. The two handled sugar bowl is in perfect shape. The dimensions from handle to handle is 6 1/4", the base diameter is 3" and quickly again turns into the widest at nearly 5" diameter. The lid to the sugar bowl has a minor chip to the underside of knob but not visible. The sugar bowl to the top of the knobbed lid is 4". This is a very old set and from what I understand was passed down through the years. So with all being said and done, it is a great find to find all this in one package and in very presentable condition. I wanted to include extra pictures to be beneficial to you in making your decision. Thanks as always for watching my collections.
