This antique chess set is hand carved from ivory and possibly some bone.
The set is not in the best condition. While it does include all 32 pieces several of those pieces are broken - chipped or have missing parts. I think the condition issues show pretty clearly in the pictures below - please let me know if you need more.
 
The queen measures 4 inches (10 cm) tall. The pawns are almost  2 inches (5 cm) tall making this quite a large set. The carving is pretty crude on the set.

This is an antique chess set dating from the late nineteenth century.
 This is a list of the pieces included:
White:
6 complete pawns
1 pawn missing a top
12 pawn missing a base
2 castles
1 broken horse
1 good horse
1 very broken bishop
I bishop missing a top bit
1 queen ?
1 damaged king?.

Red:
8 complete pawns although 1 has a glued together base
2 castles
2 broken bishops
1 good knight
1 broken knight
King & Queen
