A neat antique Victorian era Jasperware Dish. The dish is in the figural form of a Native American Indian Chief holding a Tomahawk. The dish is nicely modeled and quite dimensional. It is not marked but looks like Schafer & Vater. Overall dimensions are 5 1/2" high x 4 5/8" wide. The jasperware Indian dish is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The only thing to note is a bit of paint on the feathered edge. There are a few sharp points on the edges but they are from the mold process. The dish is a very unusual subject matter for the era. It is neat!
