This beautiful solid-oak server was hand-crafted in Late-Victorian England around 1900. The oak has developed a lovely patina that enriches the wood's complexion and distinct grain. Brass hardware and extensive carvings (such as on the backsplash and the fluted columns) emphasize the beautiful variety of textures possible in a combination between fine oak and bench-made elegance. The piece features two drawers with solid-brass hardware and hand-cut dovetailed joints, which indicate sturdy construction. Also, removable casters provide convenient movement. Condition remains exceptional, even for such a well-made piece, so there is no damage and there are very few stress marks, which are often considered prized aspects of antique character, anyhow. The top has developed an age split, which is a purely cosmetic condition resulting from age and does not affect structural integrity. In fact, age splits are generally considered valued markers of true age and charm. This beautiful solid-oak server will continue to look beautiful and operate smoothly for generations, so don't miss your chance to make it a part of your home today!
