Villeroy and Boch METTLACH: Antique amphora urn shape vase with intricate Islamic or middle eastern inspired filigree scroll work and fret work decoration and figural applied decoration. Silver leaf outlines on some edges which seem to be worn off in some sections. Hexagonal faceted shape.

I got this from estate of antique dealer who I believe put wrote the name on the sticker underneath. Close up inspection of the raised coat of arms like stamp shows 2 eagles? flanking a shield with a crown atop in the center, a decorative "VB" (?) in center and a plainer typeface "M" below.

I listed this piece previously on eBay ans was advised that this is a modified/repaired piece. The last set of photos were furnished by this conscientious ebayer. They show the original form. This person said it was Mettlach/ Villeroy and Boch #11.

This is a re-listing with the added info about it's condition and modified starting bid.

Dimensions: 12" tall high and 6.5" wide. Base is 4 ins in diameter approx.

Condition: Excellent. Some wear to silver outlines. No chips or cracks as far as I can tell.
