Published London:  MacMillan and Co. , 1890. (All the from the Library Reference atlas have been taken from the same volume. They are all originals and are all at least 118 years old.

Margins range from 20 mm (0¾") to 35 mm (1⅝")

These maps were all 'tipped in' to the atlas, meaning that they could be removed as a single intact sheet. The maps have a single fold in the center. The maps are high quality chromolithographs with rich, full colors. The maps are printed on heavy, sturdy paper and are satiny-smooth to the touch. The maps are printed on one side only.

Condition These maps are very good condition. Unless otherwise noted in red, there are no significant marks or soiling, no tears, and no foxing whatsoever. The maps are untrimmed and are suitable for framing. 
Remarks

These maps are very appealing -- a cut above standard UK atlas maps of the period. The U.S. state maps offer state groupings not seen in U.S. atlases and shades of color I've not seen on other maps. This, combined with a traditional and very legible typeface, results in maps that are both formal and striking,

This atlas is VERY scarce. I've only ever come across two and only ever sold maps from one.

Note that the maps themselves just barely fit onto my A-3 scanner, cutting off most of the margins in the scanned images. I've added in the margins, matching the original color and width carefully. On any map where there is any mark or soiling in the margins whatsoever, I've scanned the map in two parts to be sure the actual margins are visible. The images of the maps themselves have not been altered in any way.
