This is a very old antique Martin acoustic guitar that has been in our family since the mid-1920s. The manufacturer,s number, visible inside the body is 35169, which I believe would date the instrument in that era. In the 1960s, I played this small guitar in a folk singing group, and it still has a nice mellow tone. Its length is just 37 inches, a little larger than a tenor guitar. I took it to a very knowledgeable dealer in Sevierville, TN and he advised me NOT to attempt to do any refinishing to the body. The rosewood colored body needs some work, but the body itself IS intact with no cracks or loose seams. It is still very playable. My love for the Barney Kessel, George Benson type of jazz and my Gibson ES-335 occupy most of my playing efforts now, and I hope a classic afficianado might derive more enjoyment out of this little antique than I can at this point! It comes with a very basic black, heavy cardboard case, which provides a minimal protection for the guitar. Good luck bidding!
