Beautiful Antique/Vintage Tin Head MINERVA Doll - Marked on the front MINERVA with a symbol (not sure what it is) and on the back GERMANY....I purchased in an antique shop many years ago and tried to research and found one similar that was made in the early 1900's.  She has a tin head and shoulder plate - blonde curly painted hair, painted blue eyes and painted lips.  She has small spots of paint wear on both cheeks, end of nose and wear on the curls of her hair.  Her body is leather with pins at the elbows with bisque arms and hands.  There is one tiny chip on the inside of the middle finger but doesn't change the shape of the finger.  Her leather body has been sewn back on with thread and someone has used yarn to re-attach the arms.  When I removed her clothing, the legs have came loose from the knee and the sawdust is coming out so I didn't remove her long pantaloons and socks.  She is 17 1/2" long and does need to be restored.  She is wearing a long red print dress that ties in the back, slip, pantaloons and socks.
