Antique Old German Dresden Ornament - LADY'S HIGH BOOT

This auction is part of a larger group of antique/vintage Christmas decorations that I'll be selling in the next few days - just in time for holiday decorating.  Please check out the other lots.

Up for sale is a rare antique Dresden LADY'S HIGH BOOT ornament from Germany c1890.  This ornament is made of pressed cardboard with amazing intricate detail for the boot laces and fine stitching.  Originally this Dresden had a silver foil finish, but nearly all of it has been rubbed off over the years leaving behind a mellow warm brown patina.  It probably also had a silk liner/bag for holding candy, but that has been lost with time as well.  Punched holes have been added at both ends of the ornament, near the top rim, to aid in hanging on a Christmas tree.  Lastly, a few of the front buttons have dropped off the front.  The surface is in good condition with the usual rubs and creases with age.  It measures an impressive 4 1/4 inches.  A rare Dresden for your holiday collection !!
