This is a delightful antique German bisque socket head Heinrich Handwerck 109 doll. Simon & Halbig made the heads for this company.
She is as cute as a button and is a desirable cabinet sized doll. She measures 16 1/2 inches tall. She is a very pretty little doll that almost appears to be grinning.
She has set brown glass eyes, a honey brown mohair wig, gorgeous 2pc dress with antique brooch/pin, handpainted upper and lower eyelashes, thick, feathered flat eyebrows, pierced ears with beaded earrings and an open mouth with 2 teeth. She poses very easily and her composition and wood ball jointed body is in good condition with normal wear associated with age (her fingernails were painted red).
She has no hairlines. The only flaws I see is that someone set her eyes to the fixed position and the plaster spilled a little on her mouth and teeth (see pictures). I haven't tried to clean it up so it might come off ( I hear plaster comes off with water, so I will leave that up to her new owner).
She has a couple of wig pulls on her forehead. And if you look very closely it appears that her lips might have been touched up (not sure). She also has a slight nose rub. I have added many pictures to the description so you can see her in many different angles.
She is absolutely adorable and is the earlier version of this model! She is display ready.
All sales are final. Thanks for viewing my listing.
I do not smoke, but do not know how many smoking homes these antique / vintage items have been in for all these years. I do have 2 dogs, but all my items for sale are kept behind glass or away from my pets.
If you have any questions please email me. I would be glad to answer your questions quickly. All sales are final as these items are vintage, antique or very old. Antique or vintage items are used and I never describe them as mint. Any flaws I see will be noted in auction description. However, antique and vintage items are not perfect and may have imperfections from age that I may have missed by accident. I provide lots of photos at many different angles for you to see the condition very well. Therefore no partial refunds will be allowed. If anything needs to be returned you will pay return shipping. Refund will not include original shipping costs and item must be returned in the same condition as sent. More pictures will be furnished glady upon request. By bidding you agree to these terms. Thanks.I pack antiques, porcelain, delicates, and collectibles with plenty of care. No need to worry. I usually have very fragile items professionally packed by the UPS Store and pay for that service out of my own pocket. I think my customers are worth the extra effort. Fragile items will be packed in layers of bubblewrap, and the box will be padded with plenty of cushioning.
