~ ANTIQUE GERMAN KESTNER 152 DOLL ~

Gorgeous antique German bisque socket head Kestner 152 doll. This old doll is one of the harder to find models and measures approximately 19 1/2" - 20" tall.
She has striking light blue glass set eyes, handpainted upper and lower eyelashes, thick brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with porcelain teeth, shaded and accented lips, and a brunette mohair wig.
She is nicely costumed in her original ivory colored cotton Victorian dress with antique gold colored brooch / pin. Underneath her dress she is wearing antique undergarments. Her shoes and socks are newer appropriate replacements. Her original composition ball jointed and wood body has it's original Kestner body stamp/mark.
Condition:
I see no hairlines on the head. Her eyes may have been replaced or someone may have taken the original eyes off the rocker and set them to a fixed position. Whoever did this, did not do a neat job as you can see messy plaster like material inside the head. The eyes are in good and don't seem in danger of loosening and falling inside the head. There is a teeny tiny paint rub on her left eyebrow. She is missing her ring finger on her left hand. Body has normal wear associated with age. Her teeth are slightly crooked, but give her more appeal.
This doll has a dreamy wide eyed expression. She is so delightful and is display ready.

I do not smoke, but do not know how many smoking homes these antique / vintage items have been in for all these years. I do have 2 dogs and a cat, but all my items for sale are kept behind glass or away from my pets.

Any flaws I see will be noted in auction description. However, antique and vintage items are not perfect and may have imperfections from age that I may have missed by accident. I provide lots of photos at many different angles for you to see the condition very well. Therefore no partial refunds will be allowed. If anything needs to be returned you will pay return shipping. Refund will not include original shipping costs and item must be returned in the same condition as sent. More pictures will be furnished glady upon request. By bidding you agree to these terms. I pack antiques, porcelain, delicates, and collectibles with plenty of care. No need to worry. I usually have very fragile items professionally packed by the UPS Store and pay for that service out of my own pocket. I think my customers are worth the extra effort. Fragile items will be packed in layers of bubblewrap, and the box will be padded with plenty of cushioning.

Payments must be received within 7 days after auction closes otherwise I will file an unpaid item dispute with ebay and relist the item immediately.
If you need a little more time to pay for your items, please email me before making a purchase. There is a possibility we can work out a payment or layaway plan. Just remember to email me for details first, otherwise I need to stick to the original 7 day payment plan as stated above.
If a layaway or payment plan is okayed by me, a non-refundable good faith down payment of 30% must be paid to hold the item. If buyer changes his or her mind, the 30% down is non-refundable and can only be used as a credit in my ebay store and is good for 6 months.
All sales are final. Please ask questions before buying. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have quickly.

I am not making money on shipping. Shipping cannot be negotiated after the listing ends. Please make sure you agree on shipping price before bidding. I wish the USPS and UPS didn't raise prices. I am so sorry for the extra shipping costs to you and hope you will understand. If the shipping I quote you in the listing is less than I anticipated, I will refund you the difference if it is over $4. I have most of my fragile items professionally packed at the UPS Store and pay for it out out of my own pocket. Packing materials are very costly.

Insurance is a must. I fully insure all items. I do not ship my items out unless they are insured unless they are very low valued items.
By Bidding you agree to pay the insurance costs which will be calculated at the end of the auction according to the final item price.
If item arrives broken, you must keep all of the original packing material and box, otherwise insurance claim will be voided. By bidding or buying you also agree to cooperate with filling out insurance claim forms and filing at your local post office. Insurance claims may take 30 days or more to be paid out. |
