Antique Ornate Mechanical Doorbell & Eastlake Pull

Patented 1872





This handsome antique mechanical doorbell bears its patent date of 1872 on the bottom of the cast iron base. The bell is by Sargent, and the cast brass cover bears a wonderful aesthetic sunburst design - note the different details in each of the 16 sections.
 
The antique cast brass pull is a wonderful example of the Aesthetic period, with fans and feathers uniting to create a rather Egyptian feel. This pull has developed a very dark patina.
 
This highly desirable set is in excellent working order, and we stand at the ready for any installation questions you may have. With its medium-toned "BONG", this would be a stunning way to greet your guests.

Bell base measures 3 3/4" diameter (4 1/4" across screw holes). Pull measures 2" wide by 4 3/4"tall. This bell will accomodate a door up to 2 3/8" thick.
