The “lost wax” process of bronze production dates back hundreds of years to ancient Greece and Rome.  The process has been perfected and fine tuned over the centuries.  The “lost wax” process is the most precise metal casting technique in existence.  It assures accurate reproductions of the original sculpture and exquisite detail. All bronze pieces are cast from a wax model regardless of the original material the model was sculpted in. 

The “lost wax” process is an extremely labor intensive and expensive process, however it this process that creates the best quality bronze statues.  Beware of companies or manufacturers that use “sand molded bronze”, “cold casting”, or “bonded bronze”. Those kinds of bronze manufacturing do not yield high quality statues.
