This auction is for an Antique Cordey Plaster Figurine depicting a Lady with hands held together in front of her...see images.
This item was recently purchased from an estate.
I don't handle this type of item all that often, so please see the images carefully, and ask any questions you might have.
I will try to describe it carefully for you.
In my research, I found that most of the earlier Cordey works were made from plaster, but Cybis soon developed his own formula for a porcelain composition called 'papka'.
Therefore I believe this is one of the earlier Cordey works (as it is made from Plaster.)
This item stands about 13" tall and it is about 6 1/4" wide and about 6" or so front to back at the largest points.
This item depicts a lady with her hands clasped in a 'praying' formation in front of her..see images.
she has a hat on her head that is accented with flowers, and her hair is in ringlets peeking out of the hat...see images.
This item is marked with what appears to be CYBIS on the bottom --written in what appears to be Pencil .
there is also a mark done in white that appears to be a makers/artist mark? --of EV ? or EU ? --see images
This item is made from Plaster, and the colors on it are Pale hues....see images
This item is quite heavy, weighing about 7 1/4lbs-7 1/2lbs (just the figurine --NO Packaging!)
This item is in vintage condition, with signs of age/wear etc.

There are several small hairlines/cracks in the plaster (as you would expect to find on vintage plaster items)
a few of the locations that I find small hairlines/cracks are... in her hat, on the fabric surrounding her hands, on her dress below the ruffle sections, where the ringlets of her hair meet the back of her neck....etc...
There are also some areas where the plaster shows dings/chips etc. --the tips of her fingers have small flakes, and there are some flakes on the lower portion of this figure, in the blue sleeve fabric in front, and on the back of the figure in the yellow dress.
Her face has some soiling /smudge marks and spots...see images.
The flowers on the right side of the head (when you are looking at her face) have some missing leaves /petals...see close images.---also in this area there is a reddish/orange material that appears as though it might be glue??
There are some ringlets of hair that are broken off at the ends--about 3-4 areas-- (you can see these by looking up at the bottom of the hair at the back of her head) --all pretty small, and really not readily noticeable unless you are looking for them.
There are some small dings/flakes on the plaster, though all pretty small.
This figure might be a bit dirty/soiled, though I did not try to clean it at all, for fear that some of the color might come off. --we are selling this as we found it.
all in all, I would have to say that this item is in decent vintage condition, with some signs of age/wear.
