Up for auction today is a very nice antique Prestone antique freeze thermometer. This thermometer measures 36.5 in. long and is just over 8 in. wide. It's in great condition, just a few minor chips, very clean. The mercury in it does work, however, it's 72 degrees in my house, and about 90% of the mercury in the thermometer reads 72 degrees, the other 10% of the mercury floats up to about 85 degrees. The mercury appears to be split, it could be used this way, you can still read it. Otherwise, this thermometer is in excellent condition, one of the best I have seen. Completely original, well taken care of. It's a great piece. Thank you for your interest.
