Antique Primitive Small Step Foot Stool

Early estate find, this little foot stool has a great primitive look.  It is made of thick old worn wood, nails look to be old square shape nails, and there remnants of old paint. 

Not sure what it was made for.  Maybe a foot stool.  I think maybe it was a step stool used to step up into a buggy or wagon and that is why it is so narrow.  Or maybe a seat for a small child.  Not sure.

Measures 15.5" long, just 4.5" wide and 5.5" tall.
