This auction is for an antique (exact age unknown) primitive wooden child's rocking horse... except it's a CHICKEN!  I bought this about 14 years ago at an antique store because I absolutely fell in love with it.  It's different and oh-so-primitive looking.  I'm sure it was handmade many, many years ago.  It measures 21-1/2" long x 14" high x 8-1/2" wide (at its widest).  The seat is 4" from the floor.  The original color was ivory, but it was re-painted jadite (jade-ite) green at some point in its life.  His eyes, eyebrows, and beak are painted red.  My youngest two grandsons loved rocking on him when they were toddlers... just their size.  It's very solid and sturdy.  And no sharp edges or splinters 'cause everything has been worn smooth over the years.  It's great!  I'm down-sizing some of my primitive collectibles and antiques (see last pic below), so be sure to check my other auctions from time to time.
