For your consideration, an antique reproduction Simon and Halbig doll. Little Star is a strikingly beautiful and extremely unusual German doll. She was made around 1912 and has been called Mein Leiblings half sister due to the close resemblance. Presumably only 100 dolls were made, therefore this doll, in its antique original form, is almost impossible to find.
This Little Star has brown paperweight glass eyes. She is wearing a genuine human hair wig of soft auburn brown, with long curls. It is a very attractive color, and compliments her soft brown eyes nicely, it is accented with a thin blue bow. Little Star is my favorite doll to make, with her beautiful face modeling and clear intelligent expression. Each one has her own look and personality. This one for some strange reason reminds me of the actress Julia Roberts, call me crazy, perhaps there is a look in her soft brown eyes. She is on a 21cm jointed wood/compo body and stands about 11 inches in height. She will make a lovely addition to your Bleuette collection, and will be able to wear all Bleuettes clothing. She was poured in Seeleys slip and fired multiple times. She was handmade and signed by me, Damaris, here in my studio. Thanks for looking
