ANTIQUE GEORGIAN KINDJAL DAGGER


Up for sale is a rare, beautiful, 100% authentic Kindjal dagger from Western Georgia, Caucasus, late 19th Century (1893 year). Handle is made from horn with gilt silver chased and nielloed fittings and domes.

 

Original wooden scabbard is covered with original black leather. Scabbard has gilt silver chased and nielloed fittings decorated with beautiful ornaments. On the silver fittings there are silver marks 84 and silver marker's marks A.B. (Alexandre Berlyand).  From the back side of the scabbard there is owner's name in Georgian language "Tadeoz Varalidze".


The blade of flat diamond cross section is made from high quality steel.
