Salmo is a village in the Canadian Province of British Columbia. It's located on the Salmo River (Salmo = Latin for Salmon). The railroad featured prominently in Salmo's history. The first railway, The Nelson and Fort Sheppard Railway, gave way to The Great Northern Railway which eventually became Burlington Northern. The railway was abandoned in the 1990's but has been recently picked up by the provincial government and converted to a rail trail. Not only a beautiful old souvenir cup, but also a historically valuable piece as well, check it out!
