Antique Schuco or Steiff Bear or Mouse 1930s I think

This comes from the same estate sale as all the other old things I have listed this week. I don't know if it was made by Steiff or Schuco but its old. My guess would be 1930s.

It is 2 1/2" tall. It is mohair and fully jointed. Jointed at neck, arms and legs.

It has little felt paws and feet. I know the little Schuco monkeys had felt paws and feet so maybe this is a Schuco. I'm afraid to pull his head off to see if its a perfume or compact so will leave that to you to do or not.

The other thing I don't know is whether its a bear or a mouse. It has a shaved muzzle. Cute little beady black eyes.

Condition as shown in photo. All body parts are present. Some wear on mohair.
