This wonderful early 1800's era violin was found in my Mother's attic. According to my Mom it was found in my grandparents attic before it found a home in hers. The instrument is 23" long by 8" at it's widest. Schweitzer is stamped into the wood on the back of the violin. Unfortunately, no bow, nor strings. There is a crack along the front which will need repair, but what a great restoration project! The coffin case has sqaure head nails. The case is missing two pieces of hardware, but the hinges are great. This item is being sold as is.
