Antique Scottish Highland Cattle Horn Brass Desk Dinner Gong

from England, a wonderful find….a traditional Scottish Highland Cattle
horn gong, in a large size, with a thick, solid oak base and oak
handled mallet!
They
make a stunning accent piece anywhere in your home or office and are
certain to create interest with their unique design and history!!
This particular gong has beautiful oak grain on its thick, solid oak stand.The horns have elaborate bases and brackets at the tips that provide the frame for the rope that hangs the brass gong.The mallet has a long, turned oak handle…all with a rich finish and lovely aged patina.

13”H x 12” x 5”;
12” mallet.

The gong is in good condition, visually appealing with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections.Note
there is a piece of the brass ornamentation missing at the top base of
one horn and of course, there is age appropriate wear on the
brass/metal trim.
