Exquisite Antique Settee

This beautiful c. 1900 settee has elegant lines, unusual high sides with carved crest, foliate gadroon carving in front, and paw feet.  The mahogany has a dark finish with a warm glow of aged wood. 

The measurements are 4' tall, 64" wide, 23" deep, and from the seat to the top of the curved sides it is 31" tall.  It has the usual wear and scuffs that come with age.  The settee is in very good condition with the exception of needing the springs retied underneath.  The upholstery is a soft green with a gold tone stiched design.  I have seen only one other settee of this style, about 10 years ago, but it was not in good condition, and it sold for $3800 at that time.  This is truly a lovely piece of furniture!
