Description : Up for auction is this wonderful seldom seen pair of signed Spode vases that date circa 1790-1820. The pattern number is 3993 and these are dark red with thickly applied gold decorated birds with serpent handles and grape vine borders. Outstanding quality porcelain and seldom seen in this vintage. One of the ringed tail sections of one handle has been off and reglued and there is an insignificant shallow base flake on the underside of one, but they are otherwise perfect with almost no wear to the gold and no other damage or repairs. About as nice as you could expect to find. These are uncrazed and they measure 7&1/4" tall, 5&1/4" across the tops. Please Check out the photos. Insurance is now included in the cost of Shipping! We do combine multiple purchases for lower shipping costs.
