A rare and wonderful pair of black Staffordshire cats from the Jackfield Pottery, England. The body is redware with the typical Jackfield lustrous black glaze. They are in amazing condition for their age with no visible flaws. The pair dates to the early Victorian period, about 1850. The cats measure 8 in. tall x 4 in. wide at the base. S,H&I is $20.00.

The eyes are painted on. This is a very old pair. Glass eyes came about 1900.
