This beautiful walnut chest of drawers was recently handmade in England by a third-generation cabinetmaker. As you can see, this chest offers plenty of storage space. The walnut and satinwood string inlay look great together.
Here you can see more closely the patterns of satinwood string inlay that adorn the top. These solid brass pulls contrast beautifully with the walnut. These shaped bracket feet are as sturdy as they are elegant.
Each drawer features hand-cut dovetails. Shown here is the back.
     This lovely chest of drawers was recently hand-crafted in England and directly imported to our store here in Atlanta, GA. This chest is, like all of our reproduction pieces, made with a highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail possible, and has a distinct look and feel that cannot be achieved with cheaply made imitations. The wood is an exquisite hand-distressed walnut with a generally light color and pronounced grain. While it is new wood, the cabinetmaker has made the walnut so beautifully aged and mellow, the chest looks like a museum quality antique. The edges of the top are a border of crossbanded walnut, and the piece features narrow satinwood string-inlay on the top as well as the drawer fronts. This texture contrast of the crossbanding and inlay give the piece a great deal of character and makes for a beautiful overall effect. While all the drawers boast hand-cut dovetailed and elegant brass hardware they also feature working locks and keys. Overall, the condition of this piece is excellent as it was newly made only a short time ago and has never been used.
